Finance Manager

Purpose

The Finance Manager provides leadership and direction to the Finance Team, analyzing every day financial activities and providing advice and guidance to management to enable sound business decisions and to meet the company’s objectives

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization
  • Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
  • Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken

Experience, qualifications, and skills

  • At least 10 years experience in Financial roles with more than 1 in as a Finance Manager
  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to produce well-written policies, procedures and reports
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Demonstrated capacity to be organized, have attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate across functions within an organization
